Who We Are
Welcome to the flagship educational program of Mzuzu E-hub
Bizcubation brings new and innovative business ideas to life. Bizcubation- a fancy word for Business Incubation- was established in 2019 as Mzuzu E-Hub's flagship program supporting youth led emerging enterprises. Bizcubation portfolio enterprises benefit from determining the best business model and market strategy to:
- Commercialize their idea
- Measure social impact
- Develop investor proposals
- Establish a contact network
We facilitate strategic interventions including the Youth and Women in Biz Challenge, Women in Biz and BizLearn targeting Livelihood sustaining enterprises and Dynamic enterprises across Malawi.
Bizcubation has to date graduated 345 emerging entrepreneurs split in 8 cohorts with 46.5% female participation since inception and below are the highlights:

Our Community

Women in Biz
A 3-Months incubation program established with an aim to enhance participation of women in climate enterprising through enterprise development support interventions including skills training workshops, coaching and mentoring and networking events. Women in Biz supports 20 young women entrepreneurs with training, mentoring and coaching, investment financing, networks and linkages.

Youth & Women in Biz Challenge
An innovation challenge established with an aim to enhance the investment readiness for emerging entrepreneurs under the Bizcubation program. Activities include: investment readiness bootcamp, pitch competition, seed capital financing through subgrants.

BizMarket Expo
An annual ecosystem engagement event providing a platform for entrepreneurs across Malawi to showcase their products and services to community stakeholders towards expanding their markets, engaging new customers, enhancing partnerships and facilitating investment linkages with financing institutions.

Hatch Start Incubation
A social impact project established with an aim to provide business incubation for youth and women (18-35 years) entrepreneurs at idea to seed stage across Malawi. The project is implemented under a consortium led by Mzuzu E-Hub, mHub and ACADES with support from World University Service Canada (WUSC).

BizLearn
A digital learning platform developed for emerging entrepreneurs to access business development training content through a self-paced learning approach. The training content includes: Design Thinking for Ideation, Business modelling, Developing a business plan, strategic planning, teambuilding/Human resources, communication, marketing and branding, digital marketing and digital business and financial management. The digital platform provides access to various tools and resources that entrepreneurs can leverage within their day-to-day business to enhance their productivity. BizLearn can be accessed here.

Youth Transition to TEVET
A social impact project aimed at creating a pathway for ultra-poor families in Mzimba district, Malawi to access formal TEVET, enhance their employability and increase income opportunities. The pilot project supported youth (15-24 years) to participate in TEVET programs, establishing youth study groups and peer mentoring, facilitating pre-incubation, incubation and post incubation programs supporting youth led business opportunities and employment schemes, and fostering an enabling environment. The project was implemented by Save the Children International Malawi in partnership with Mzuzu E-Hub and TEVETA.
